Make restaurant-style garlic bread at home with just 4 simple ingredients and about 20 minutes of your time. It is the perfect side to any pasta dish and just too dang good to pass up on!
Garlic bread has always been a favorite ours growing up, so to recreate a vegan version really hit the spot. Disclaimer: If you’re making this for a loved one and the relationship is relatively fresh, you may want to cut back on the garlic because yo’ breath is gonna stank!
This recipe requires just four simple ingredients: bread, butter, garlic, and parsley. That’s it! We like to top ours with additional vegan parmesan cheese and it is optional but highly recommended 😉 We were able to whip these up while our pasta was cooking and we had our whole meal, appetizer, and entree, done in thirty minutes or less.
We paired this garlic bread with our new Avocado Pesto Pasta, and we highly recommend them together. This is actually a date night recipe that we put together for Valentine’s day so if you’re looking to put something yummy together for your boo, we ‘ve got you covered.

Make restaurant-style garlic bread at home with just 4 simple ingredients and about 20 minutes of your time. It is the perfect side to any pasta dish and just too dang good to pass up on!
Ingredients
1/3 cup vegan butter, melted (we used Earth Balance)
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 loaf (340g) bread of choice, sliced into 1″ pieces (we used sourdough)
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Add the vegan butter to a small bowl and pop it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, or until melted. Alternatively, you can also heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Once melted, mix in the garlic and set aside.
Arrange the sliced bread on the lined baking sheet. Using a brush, generously coat each slice with the garlic butter until you have used it all up. Sprinkle evenly with the fresh parsley and vegan parmesan.
Transfer to the oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted.Â
Set the oven to broil and allow the bread to bake for 1-2 minutes longer, or until golden. Keep an eye on the bread to prevent it from burning.
Remove from the oven and cool until easy to handle. Dig in!

Oof, I LOVE this garlic bread. Really, any kind of bread! However, something about garlic bread is just so freaking special–it has to be the combination of garlic, herbs, and olive oil used! If anything, I used to eat the whole garlic bread basket at Italian restaurants before my pasta. I’d often get in trouble for that, but it was SO worth the sin. 😉

Love this garlic bread. I just cut the bread in half and spread the garlic butter on each half. So quick.
