You’ll never eat cranberry sauce out of a can again. This recipe is easy, requires just 5 ingredients and will be ready in 10 minutes!
I have a confession to make…
I never used to eat cranberry sauce during Thanksgiving growing up. In fact, it was rare for my family to even serve it. Our Thanksgivings did have stuffing, gravy, and turkey every year, but the rest of the table is always filled with Filipino dishes (on my mom’s side) and Ecuadorian dishes (on my dad’s side). The first time we ever made cranberry sauce in the house was when I made it for Thanksgiving photos for this blog lol. So thanks to the blogging world, cranberry sauce is now a “thing” on Thanksgiving.
Cranberry sauce from a can is a weird thing, isn’t it? It comes out perfectly shaped like a can and reminds me of jello. It always reminds me of these jello molds from Brown Rabbit’s Day, did anyone else read that book as a kid?
Anyways, this cranberry sauce is nothing like that so don’t worry. It also only requires 10 minutes of your time and 5 simple ingredients: cranberries, sugar, maple syrup, an orange, and cinnamon.
