The perfect way to use up leftover black beans! This black bean dip is easy to make, requires just 8 ingredients and is ready in under 10 minutes. Score!

Vegan Black Bean Dip

Putting food together for guests doesn’t have to be a headache. We always gravitate towards easy, low ingredient and quick recipes so that we have enough time to finish prepping the house (we are last minute with these kinds of things, always!) and get ready before their arrival. This black bean dip fits the bill and is always a hit! It’s perfect as a party or game day appetizer, as a snack in place of hummus to change things up, or even spread into a sandwich or quesadilla for a boost of flavor.

Vegan Black Bean Dip Ingredients

All that you need for this dip is black beans, vegan cream cheese (or sour cream), green onions, garlic, lime juice, cilantro, cumin, and chili powder. Season it with salt and pepper to taste + you can add green chiles if you’d like as well.

Since the black bean dip isn’t the prettiest on its own (let’s be real here), to make it picture perfect, we top ours with more cream cheese or sour cream (we like to water ours down a little for better texture), cilantro, roasted corn, green onions, and smoked paprika. We like to serve ours with a variety of raw veggies and chips or crackers.

Vegan Black Bean Dip Close Up

This recipe is a part of our Leftovers Series on our blog. Each month, we are going to take common leftovers and show you how to repurpose them. Last month we showed you what to do with leftover rice, and this month we are showing you what to do with leftover black beans! We figured “beans” can be a broad topic (depending on how you look at it), so we are going to cover different kinds of beans in the future ????
