What Are Mini Galettes?
Galettes are free-form pies that donโt require a pie pan for baking. Since these are mini, each one bakes into an individual portion, making them ideal for gatherings. You get all the flavor of a pie without the fuss of a lattice or perfect crimping.

Ingredients Needed to Make Mini Spiced Pear Galettes
- All-purpose flour: The base that gives the crust its structure.
- Granulated sugar: Adds a light sweetness and helps with browning.
- Cold vegan butter: Creates flaky layers in the crust and adds richness to the glaze.
- Ice water: Brings the dough together without making it heavy or sticky.
- Salt: Balances the flavors and sweetness.
- Pears: Choose ripe but firm pears for the best texture. Bosc or Bartlett work well.
- Brown sugar: Adds deep caramel notes that complement the spices.
- Cornstarch: Thickens the filling to prevent it from becoming watery.
- Lemon juice: Brightens the flavor and prevents the pears from browning.
- Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom: Create a warm, spiced flavor blend.
- Vanilla extract: Adds depth and rounds out the spices.
- Non-dairy milk: Brushed crust with maple syrup to help it brown evenly.
- Maple syrup: Helps sweeten the dessert and add shine to the crust.
- Powdered sugar: Creates the classic glaze texture.
