It’s made with just a handful of ingredients, this guac is sure to check all of the boxes. Savory, salty, with that perfect hint of lime, every tortilla chip will be wanting a piece.
As the weather heats up and the summer season is in full groove, guacamole is a must for every occasion. Thankfully, making guacamole is as easy as 1-2-3 (literally). If you’ve never made it before, the only steps are to mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and see how much you can eat in one sitting ????.
This avocado-based dip has been a staple part of my diet for as long as I can remember. My mom always made a big bowl of it almost weekend night in the summer. She made it with freshly grown tomatoes and cilantro from our garden, and it always just so perfect.
My preferred vessel for guacamole is tortilla chips, but the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re digging in with veggies or topping your burgers and sandwiches with mountains of guac, there is no wrong way to do it.

1/3 cup finely diced red or white onion
1 cup diced tomatoes (we prefer Roma)
1/2 cup chopped cilantro

1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
2 garlic cloves, minced or 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
Add the avocado flesh to a medium sized bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth (or until it reaches your desired consistency).
Add in the remaining ingredients and mix until well combined. Taste and adjust ingredients as desired.
Serve immediately or place it into a sealable bowl with plastic wrap over the guacamole (with the plastic touching the guacamole) and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
