ย ย If thereโs one thing that screams summertime to me, itโs watermelon ? the sound it makes when cracking it open is just so satisfying, am I crazy or do you agree?I remember growing up, watermelon was one of my absolute favorite snacks in the summer. So much so that my parents would buy one weekly because I would eat it all and the family would want more.
I used to frequently enjoy my watermelon with Tajinโ which is a Mexican seasoning made from a blend of lime, mild chili peppers, and sea salt. This recipe was inspired from that, but we wanted to make it homemade + add a twist with some mint.Everything in this recipe is according to your taste and preference, so feel free to stray away from the ratios and adjust it based on your taste! Thereโs really no going wrong here, just be sure to adjust the salt and cayenne in small increments haha, we made the mistake of going a little too heavy on those once and it didnโt end well.
Also, quick tip! If you are not able to finish all of your watermelon monitor salad, what we did was chuck it all into a blender or run it through a juicerโ it makes for killer smoothies and juices!Make sure you tag usย onย Instagramย @sweetsimpleveganย and @consciouschris and hashtagย #sweetsimpleveganย if you recreate any of ourย recipes, we love toย see your photos!
