Since fall and pumpkin spice latte season is upon us, we wanted our pup Berry to be able to enjoy a holiday season treat as well, so we put together this dog-friendly fall smoothie to do just that!
This smoothie is filled with some of Berry’s favorite ingredients. It was fun to have him involved in the process of the recipe development and photos for once, we usually have to shew him away from what we are photographing (he always wants to be a part of what we are doing). I legitimately believe he was in shock that this time we actually encouraged him to join in on the fun because he was so cautious when he approached and tried the dish!
We definitely would like to make more dog recipes in the future, so let us know if you guys would like that!
PS: We are also doing a giveaway on our YouTube channel with this dog-friendly fall smoothie for your chance to win V-Dog vegan dog treats! You can enter here, and hurry, the giveaway closes on Sunday, October 22!
V-Dog is our treat of choice because they use quality vegan ingredients, is veterinarian approved, and because, well Berry loves it! V-Dog has a full help center on their website that will answer any questions you have regarding vegan dog foods and diets, in case you want to learn more! Make sure you tag us on Instagram @sweetsimplevegan and @consciouschris and hashtag #sweetsimplevegan if you recreate any of our recipes, we love to see your photos!
1 can coconut cream or full-fat coconut milk, refrigerated overnight
Instructions
Place all of the smoothie ingredients into a blender and run until smooth.
For the whipped cream, remove your can of coconut cream or milk from the refrigerator and carefully open it, trying to avoid shaking it. Scoop the top portion of the can into a chilled bowl and discard the liquid (or save it for smoothies, etc.). Use a hand or standing mixer to whip the coconut cream until fluffy.
Pour the smoothie into two cups or bowls, then scoop or pipe on the whipped coconut cream.
Notes
Coconut is non-toxic to dogs, but it does contain medium chain triglycerides, which may cause some gastrointestinal upset and bloating. Please check in with your veterinarian if you have any concern. Berry has never shown any negative reactions to the ingredient, so we felt comfortable using it in this recipe.
Please be sure to use all natural peanut butter with no additives for the safety of your dogs. The only ingredient should be peanuts!
Nutrition facts do not include the V-Dog breath bones.

Oh my gosh, those photos are the sweetest! We have 2 dogs and make them doggie ice cream, but I’ve yet to hear of making them a puppy spice latte! Ha, love it – so creative.

I love how you getting the pup involved in seasonal eating! 🙂 That fall smoothie looks good enough for me to drink, so I’m sure Berry loved it too!
He was in love!!
My dog would love this! We might have to have one each though, mine without the VDog treat. I so wish V Dog was available in Canada!
Haha omg, that would be the cutest!!
