Description

These vegan chocolate protein bliss balls are delicious, easy-to-make and free of gluten, oil, and refined sugar. They are the perfect healthy snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free quick oats or gluten-free rolled oats
  • 2 scoops (46 g) Orgain vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Medjool dates, pitted and packed
  • ~1/4 cup water (coconut water or non-dairy milk works, too)
  • 1 tablespoon organic maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. If you are using rolled oats, place into a food processor and run until broken down into the consistency of quick oats and uniform, about 30 seconds or so.
  2. Place all of the remaining ingredients into a food processor and run until a dough forms, adding more coconut water a tablespoon at a time as needed (the dough should stay together when you press it between your fingers).
  3. Scoop the dough into a tablespoon-sized ball, being sure to press it tightly to help it stay together. Continue until all of the dough has been rolled into balls.
  4. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • If you do not want to use protein powder, you can replace it with 3 tablespoons of cocoa or cacao powder.
  • If you use a different protein powder, keep in mind that it will alter the flavor, sweetness, etc.
