I’m sure you all have heard/joined in on the use of Apple Cider Vinegar in your daily diet, and I have received a lot of comments regarding its use within the last few weeks.

I recently posted a video on Instagram regarding soda and unusual uses of it that prove it is NOT meant to be in our bodies. Here’s the text again, for those of you who were not able to see the post: Did you know that soda can be used to: remove grease, car oil or blood stains, get rid of burns on pans and rust, clean your car battery terminal and engine, clean tile grout, clear up rust in your pool, clean toilets, strip paint off of metal furniture and even unclog/clear out pipes and drains. Now imagine what it does to your body? Swap sodas for some fresh juice, coconut water, or infused water! I know it may be challenging to break habits, but think of what is best for you, and make the healthy choice today to nourish rather than harm your body.

Not to single you out, but I received a comment linking soda and vinegar to one another, that they attribute to the same chemical reactions in our body. I do understand that both cause chemical reactions in our bodies, based upon the elements they contain, but I do not agree that they are both reactive in our body in the same way. I would never drink soda, but I do in fact drink vinegar. There is information on vinegar all over the internet, and I will be transcribing information from articles that you all have access to.

What type of vinegar do I use?

I use Bragg’s Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. It’s raw, unheated, unfiltered, unpasteurized and USDA certified organic, so it is a brand that I trust.

How I Consume Apple Cider Vinegar:

I drink ACV in a mix I make. Every morning, I start my day off with liter of warm water with lemon juice/slices and 1-2 Tbs of Apple Cider Vinegar. This can be pretty potent depending how much water you use, so I say start off with a larger ratio of water to ACV if you are new to this. I have learned to love the flavor of this drink, and no longer need sweetener. You can serve it up with sweetener of choice to make it more palatable 🙂

I have also used the Tone It Up Bombshell Spell and loved it as well. I make this more often when my parents would like a vinegar drink as they prefer this over the plain water mix. The recipe is a part of theTone It Up Nutrition Plan and I do not know the exact recipe, but I have seen videos on youtube regarding it and know that they include pineapple juice with the aforementioned ingredients of my drink.

Don’t want to drink vinegar? Make a dressing with it and marinate some Kale! You can try out my recipe for my Raw Apple Vinaigrette that I used in my Fall Kale Salad.

Benefits of ACV:

This is information I have read of and found both online and in nutrition books on the topic. I have no proof of any of it, but I see it all as interesting information to share with those interested in trying out ACV. Please let me know if you have experiences/opinions on any of these! Would love to hear what you think 🙂

  • Rich in potassium, key for growth, building muscles, transmission of nerve impulses, heart activity etc.
  • Aids your body in maintaining proper pH levels for a healthy alkaline state. (Important if you drink a lot of coffee or wine.) A balanced, more alkaline body means better immune function and increased energy! Vinegar is acidic, but don’t let that mislead you. The effect in your body is alkalizing.
  • Bowel irregularity improvement.
  • Clear skin blemishes.
  • Gives you great hair with none of the added toxins of store-bought shiners! Use in in a rinse once a week for shinier hair.
  • It can help regulate blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol.
  • Rich in malic acid which gives ACV its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

  1. I drink ACV every day with fresh organic lemon juice. Can I just say, no adult acne! The bacteria in ACV is so good for your skin! (and your gut!) I add both to my water all day long. Especially in the mid afternoon when I might feel a little sluggish, the ACV and lemon give my body the kick it needs! The lemon is amazing for your liver as well. 😉

  2. I cured the bronchitis I had had for 1.5 years in 4 days by taking a tablespoon of ACV (Bragg’s) 3 times a day. No joke. It was completely gone, and never resurfaced. This was after taking 3 rounds of antibiotics throughout that time. I also use it as a hair rinse once a week. I use 1/4 cup ACV and 3/4 cup water. I keep it on while I shave my legs, then rinse. It makes my hair shiny and crazy soft.

    1. I never knew you could shave with it, how cool! And wow, what an amazing story and congrats on your recovery what a life changer. Thank you for sharing 🙂
